What is Emsculpt?
Emsculpt machine is first developed by BTL. It was designed for body muscle building and weight loss. It is also called an Emshape and HIFEM machine.
The machine uses high intensive focused electromagnetic energy to contour the body and to enhance muscle contractions. HIFEM machine has the expertise of creating a metabolic reaction that activates the break down of fat and strengthening the muscles.
The E and the M in Emsculpt, the first two letters mean the technology behind them. It uses electromagnetic energy to make the muscles contract in the area you’re treating.
How does the Emsculpt machine work?
The whole treatment period is only 30 minutes.
By using advanced HIFEM technology, Emsculpt aims at your body muscle and works on the fat. The process looks like how we contract our muscles naturally.
The technology induces 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions in just 30 minutes. It reacts with a deep remodeling of its inner structure that results in muscle building and fat burning.
The process works by directing highly focused electromagnetic energy to the area, forcing the muscles to contract in a way that is not possible through exercise. In response to these contractions, the muscle reconstructs itself, and fat in the area begins to melt away more easily.

How Does Emsculpt Burn Fat?
First, our muscles release a chemical signaling local fat cells to break down in order to sustain the fast contractions with adequate energy.
Second, this process of lipolysis, or fat cell destruction, metabolizes local fat cells.
Finally, the fat cells are eventually broken down completely and expelled by your body as waste.
Coolsculpting VS Emsculpt
Coolsuclpting and Emsculpt are two of the most popular treatment for body shaping. So what is the difference?
Technology
CoolSculpting uses a fat-freezing technology also called cryolipolysis. It works by placing a roll of fat into 2 panels that cool the fat to a freezing temperature. The temperature is cold enough to stimulate fat cells to die, but not cold enough to harm skin, muscle, or nerve tissue.
Emsculpt uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) to induce involuntary supramaximal muscle contractions in the treatment area. Supramaximal contractions engage 100% of the muscle fibers in an area, helping to tone the muscle faster than exercise alone.
Purpose
This is the most different of the two treatments.
Coolsculpting reduces the fat, it has no results on muscle building. While Emsculpt tones the muscles. Emsculpt could rebuild your muscle and also could burn the fat.
Emsculpt is designed to help build new muscle fibers and tone existing fibers for better-sculpted muscles. It’s currently indicated to treat the abs, buttocks, thighs, and upper arms.
Treatment time
Coolsculpting treatment usually needs 40 to 60 minutes, while the Emshape muscle-building machine only needs 30 minutes. The interval between cryolipolysis sessions is 45 days. However, you could do the muscle training treatment every week. (4 to 6 treatments)
Results
CoolSculpting counts on our body’s natural processes to metabolize and flush out the affected fat cells. It means, once fat cells are gone, they are gone forever.
Emsculpt causes visible improvements in muscle tone comparable to what one might expect after working out for many months, within about 1 month of the last treatment. Some clients say they feel the area is firmer and tighter within days after treatment.
